How quickly the year has come around again to the season of preparation that is Advent. I pray for a heart sensitive to the lessons I am meant to learn as I prepare my heart for the celebration of Christ’s arrival.

The season is filled with so much. Presents to buy, homes to decorate, goodies to bake, concerts to attend, services to play for, meals to prepare, schoolwork to finish, and the lists grow.
While it seems there is much to accomplish, there is more to rest in. An opportunity to look at things with the sense of anticipation and a resistance of the need to be busy. What lessons does Advent have for my heart this year?
